We are excited to announce that our first Clay Pigeon Shoot on Saturday has raised £6,000!! We had estimated to raise £4,000 from the day, so we are extremely pleased.
This figure will go towards a Micropulse Yellow Wavelength Retinal Laser for the Ophthalmology Department at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital. To find out more about this piece of equipment, take a look here http://bit.ly/2nzT24z.
The main event was for teams of two with two categories: Adults and one for Adult/Junior (18 and under), with additional events: Estate Challenge and a Flush.
Kevin Gundry and Andy Taylor (The Old House Estate) cleaned up all three senior events with young Cameron Andrade and Grandfather John Collins taking the Adult/Junior prize. Lady Carolyn Warren (one of our Governors) and her mother Jeanie, Countess of Carnarvon (our Patron) came along to present the prizes to the winners. The North Hampshire Medical Fund was set up by Lady Carolyn Warren’s late Father, Lord Carnarvon.
There was an impressive list of sponsors which greatly contributed to the fund, including: Eley Cartridges, Kingsclere Estate, Charles Sainsbury-Plaice, Portable Toilets Ltd, Crookham Sawmills, The Royal Oak, Ecchinswell, John Crockford from Pitchorn Farm, Christine Daly-Sadler plus many private donations.
