Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) is a mobile and non-invasive bedside camera-based evaluation of swallowing, aimed at enhancing dysphagia management for stroke patients. With approximately 50% of stroke survivors experiencing swallowing difficulties, timely and accurate assessment is crucial to prevent further complications. FEES minimises the time spent on nil-by-mouth or artificial feeding, reduces aspiration risks, length of hospital stays and eliminates the need for radiology intervention.
