to hear from Simone Holman, Clinical Matron in AAU & ACU about the Cardiac Telemetry equipment and how it will benefit AAU & ACU at Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital.
This new equipment will:
-
Allow up to 10 patients to receive portable cardiac monitoring on AAU & ACU. This means that patients will be able to ambulate whilst on cardiac monitoring.
-
Allow staff to record and print patient cardiac rhythms.
-
Allow staff to monitor patients in ACU reducing the need for medical admissions.
-
Improve patient safety, flow and capacity and ACU will be able to take more patients from the emergency department and off the medical take (currently unable to take those who need monitoring).
for Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital
“This equipment will improve patient safety as well as flow and capacity, enabling patients to be seen and treated more quickly”
