This piece of equipment is highly tuned to deliver humidified oxygen effectively to babies and children who are extremely unwell with respiratory infections.
A child receiving ‘high flow’ oxygen via the Airvo would be able to remain on the ward, near family, rather than having to be transferred to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit or another hospital with Airvo equipment.
