One of the few benefits of Covid-19 is the digitisation of several areas of medicine including cardiology as it was imperative to find a way to monitor vulnerable patients remotely. These Paceports will allow the digital uploading of pacemaker data which is currently manually transcribed by Cardiac physiologists. This change in clinical practice will enable the pacemaker team to implant state of the art devices with accompanying remote monitoring and will vastly increase the efficiency of the entire practise.
