Making a donation in memory
Making a donation in memory of a loved one is a meaningful way to honour their life and create something positive for the future. We are deeply honoured to receive gifts given in memory, and grateful to those who choose to remember someone special through the work of the Hampshire Medical Fund.
Whether given privately, shared with family and friends, or collected at a funeral or memorial service, every gift — no matter the size — makes a real difference.
What type of gift can I leave?
You can choose the type of legacy gift that feels right for you:
How your donation will be used
As with all donations we receive, you can choose how your donation is used.
You can select a piece of equipment from our current Wish List or you may wish to support a particular hospital, (Basingstoke, Winchester or Andover NHS hospitals).
Alternatively, you may be happy for your donation to be allocated to our general equipment fund and used towards the piece of equipment we are closest to funding. Once each item is fully funded, it is purchased — often meaning that within weeks, lives across our community are being improved, and sometimes even saved, as a direct result of your support. All funds are allocated to equipment approved by our medical trustees, ensuring your legacy has a direct and lasting impact.
Over-funding: In the event that donations received towards a particular piece of equipment exceed the cost of that item, any surplus funds will be transferred to the charity’s general equipment fund and used towards the next item we are closest to funding.
We’re here to help
We understand that this can be a difficult time. If you would like guidance on making a donation in memory, organising a collection, or simply want to talk through the options, our team is here to help with care and sensitivity.
Thank you for considering the Hampshire Medical Fund as part of your tribute.
